Warrenton, VA resident Priscilla Hottle has brought her 30 years of insurance experience to Northern Virginia and opened a new full-service insurance agency in her hometown.
Hottle and Associates, located at 39 South Fourth Street, in Warrenton, services businesses, organizations, families and individuals with insurance products that range from homeowners, auto, life and umbrella to property, worker's compensation, general liability, group health and various casualty and specialty insurance types of protection. For businesses and organizations with additional needs, the firm also offers consulting and risk management. Its primary region is Warrenton, Fauquier County and the surrounding areas.
Before forming her own agency, Hottle served as executive vice president and chief operating officer for Patterson/Smith Associates, before its sale in 2005. She then served as president of the Washington, D.C. firm. During her tenure, she developed national industry
insurance programs for industry groups and associations and was highlighted in Forbes magazine in 2003 for leading the company's disaster recovery team after Hurricane Isabel.
"We're serving our own local community with flexible and creative insurance and risk management options offered by home-grown Warrenton agents and native Washingtonians," Hottle said. "There are many large national companies that offer these products and services, but few that know the community and care about it like we do."
Hottle, who opened her agency in March, said this was the right time to open her own agency, especially in her community.
"I took a great recipe for success with Patterson/Smith and started all over again," she said.
